What Rocks Are In Your Jar?
I hope you had a chance to read the story I posted earlier today. This is one I love to use when I'm working with people on time management.
So, if you haven't had a chance yet, scroll down and read that over.
Next, take out a piece of paper. Write down all the things you have to do, including those that you are working on to reach your goals.
Once you have that completed, go through each one and choose which are your "rocks". Which tasks directly relate to those things in your life that are most important to you. Start a new list with those things at the top.
Next, look at what is left. Decide what NEEDS to be on that list, and what is just taking up time you don't have. Learn to start saying "no" to things when you are finding yourself too overwhelmed with what you must accomplish.
Always make sure you put your most important things first, or you may find yourself filling up with the less significant things and not having room for the ones that matter.
