There are No Refunds in Life

Have you ever purchased something from a store knowing that you might very well be returning it? You know what I mean, you debate over whether a picture will look good in a room, a rug will match your decor or you just don't feel like trying on the shirt to see if a medium will actually fit, but you buy it anyway knowing that if you keep the receipt you can bring it back and get a refund.

Sometimes we treat life the same way. We make hasty decisions, we don't think through our actions and sometimes we are just too lazy to do the right things. The difference is you are never issued a receipt when you make decisions and actions in life. There is no return policy. If you make the wrong choice, there is no going back; you have to live with it.

So while you can always return that hideous green sweater, you can't take back hurt feelings, opportunities missed or time wasted. Think carefully about how you treat your life. It has no return policy.

"Life has no return policy" is very motivating and thought-producing. Thanks, Gary.

Thanks Lois. I'm glad it struck a chord.
