Life is a Balancing Act

Life is a balancing act of sorts. On one hand, you want to succeed and reach for the stars, on the other, you want to take things slow and enjoy the road to success. The trick, my friends, is finding the balance.

I am a great believer in trying to become the best you can be. Finding that thing that you can be that brings out your greatest potential.

I am also a believer in enjoying the gifts you currently have in your life. So often we get in such a rush to reach those stars, we forget to enjoy the things we have along the way.

This is where balance comes in. So how do you do this delicate act? Every person will have their own way that works for them, but here is mine.

First, I write out all the goals I have in life. I break them down into long term, one year, one month, one week, and one day. I look them over and then prioritize them. I make sure that in those goals, I am not only striving to be the best I can be, but I am also striving to enjoy what I have along the way.

Each morning I look over my goals in my journal, and I make my to do list to help me acheive what I set out to that day. My daily goals always include time for my family, time to reflect, time to learn, as well as time to make myself a better person so that I can reach my full potential.

Find a way that works for you, just make sure you find a way to strike that ever-so-delicate balance between becoming the best you can be, and enjoying the gifts you already have in your life.
