Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day! Today I will be giving that wish to my own mother, my mother-in-law, and my wife. I am truly a lucky man. As I was thinking of my mom this morning, I was try to take stock of all the wonderful things she has taught me so far in my life.

One of the things my mom used to say to me is "the only difference between a rut and a grave, is the depth of the hole". She always encouraged me to not become accustomed to doing the same things over and over in the same way, but always keep things a bit different to keep life interesting.

How true it is! We all get stuck in ruts - we drive the same way to work every day, we eat at the same restaurant, we always do the same routine day in and day out.

So, my Mother's Day Challenge to you is to change things up a bit! Eat at a restaurant you've never been to before, drive on a road you've never been on before, watch a movie you wouldn't normally watch. Anything counts, as long as it is different from what you would usually do.
