GTS Youth
Thanks for visiting the brand new getting to someday for youth area!
Soon this portion will be up and ready to go, but in the meantime, we would love to hear your thoughts and opinions on what YOUwould like to see. Please send and email to info@gettingtosomeday.com to tell us what you think.
For now, we have put in some instructions below on how to make a Vision Board - feel free to print them out and get started!
How to Make a Vision Board
1. Gather supplies – you will need: poster board, scissors, glue, old magazines, pictures

2. Think about you goals, dreams and wishes. Spend time thinking about what you most want to accomplish, and organize your thoughts onto paper. It’s a good idea to categorize them.Goals are generally shorter term, while dreams are long term.
For Example:
My goals are:
To pass my driver’s test
To get a job for the summer
To buy an iPod touch
My dreams are:
To become a doctor
To go to university
To buy a nice car
To have a house on the lake
3. Once you have finished making your lists, start looking through your old magazines and pictures. If you find pictures or words that you feel relate to your dreams and goals, rip them out and put them in a pile. Don’t worry about having nice edges on them right now – it’s more important to continue finding the images.
4. When you have completed collecting a pile of pictures and words, go back through and make sure they all match what you see as your goals and dreams. Trim up the ones you are going to keep if you like.

5. Some people just randomly arrange them on a page, others organize them into categories, others still put a picture of themselves when they were really happy in the centre – do whatever you feel is best for you! Lay them all out on the poster board.
6. Once the poster board is laid out the way you would like it, glue everything down and let it all dry.
7. Hang your vision board up somewhere where you can easily see if. It’s best if it’s the first thing you see in the morning and the last thing you see at night.
We further believe all youth have the ability to Make a Difference in the world. You have the power to achieve the unattainable, and change things for the better.
