Some Circumstances are Just beyond Your Control

Being happy is easy, right? Okay, it is when life is going well for you. But what about when an uncontrollable circumstance spins out of way and it seems as if your whole world is crashing down on you? It’s one thing after another and it doesn’t seem to be going away.

We all have those moments. We feel hopeless and can’t get out from under the clouds. Every time we start to look up again something brings us back down. Two steps forward and one step back. How do people manage to stay happy during those tough times?

Some would say that the age old saying “when the going gets tough, the tough get going” is the solution to it all. Keep your head up and moving forward, even through hard times you will make it. But, it’s not always that easy to do.

The true solution is a positive attitude. Knowing that there is a reason we hit bumps in the road allows us to learn and move on. If we keep our heads high and do our best through the situations, all we can do is be happy about the lesson learned and move on. Let’s not forget, everything happens for a reason.

When you finally accept what is in front of you, you will be able to look up with a brighter smile. It may not be instant, but at least you will see past the dark times and into the light.

We may not understand why bad things happen to people, even the best of people. But, we know that they do and always will happen. Bad things are par for the course, if we didn’t have anything to bring us down, we wouldn’t appreciate the things that bring us back up.

It’s just the way it is. We won’t always have the solutions when problems arise, or know why we are faced with roadblocks; but, if we do keep our heads high and get through the situations, we can take those lessons forward with us into our future.

It’s not easy, facing a circumstance that is beyond your control. But, if you try and look at everything as being part of a plan for you, you’ll recognize there is always a positive experience hidden within. Remember, always try and find the simple joys in life and don’t let the uncontrollable circumstances of the day (or week) get you down!
