To forgive or not to forgive...That is the question

When looking up the definition of forgiveness I found this: Forgiveness is defined as the process of concluding resentment, indignation or anger as a result of a perceived offense, difference or mistake, or ceasing to demand punishment or restitution. I guess the easiest way to define forgiveness is to ‘decide to let it go and move on’.

We’re All Losers…

This may seem like a harsh statement, but I’m going to say it anyway. You’re a loser. But that’s okay because I’m a loser too. Everyone is. At one point or another (and more than likely more than one point) we are all losers. Despite what people might say to the contrary, being a loser is a good thing. Being a loser is what makes you a winner. I’ll tell you why.

• Until you’ve lost something, you don’t know how to appreciate what you have.

• If you win all the time, you never learn how to work hard.

What's on Your Life Card?

There's a book called An Exact Replica of a Figment of My Imagination where the author, Elizabeth McCracken, suggests that everyone should have a life card. This is similar to a business card, but instead of listing what you do for a living, it lists things that have happened in your life that you would like people to know before dealing with you, but don't want to have to explain.

There are No Refunds in Life

Have you ever purchased something from a store knowing that you might very well be returning it? You know what I mean, you debate over whether a picture will look good in a room, a rug will match your decor or you just don't feel like trying on the shirt to see if a medium will actually fit, but you buy it anyway knowing that if you keep the receipt you can bring it back and get a refund.

I choose to talk about this definition: fear;  a distressing emotion aroused by impending danger, evil, pain, etc., whether the threat is real or imagined; the feeling or condition of being afraid.
